GPRaw Release Notes
What's new in the latest versions of GPRaw, newest first. To update, open the App Store and choose Updates. For help using GPRaw, see GPRaw Support.
GPRaw 1.30
NewPick and Reject
You can now mark a photo Pick or Reject. The marks are Finder tags, and Export All Photos and Export Video leave rejected photos out by default.
NewMultiple selection
You can now select several photos in the filmstrip at once. Paste Edits, Export, Quick Share, Add to Photos, Pick, and Reject then act on all of them.
NewDeflicker
You can now even out a timelapse's jumps in brightness where the camera changed its exposure, with the Deflicker button beside its timeline. Exporting with it needs the full version.
NewLess grain in timelapses
Export Video can now blend each frame with the frames beside it, which smooths out grain and speckle, most visibly in night skies. Turn on Reduce Noise Across Frames to use it. It needs the full version.
This release also includes bug fixes and performance improvements.
GPRaw 1.29
ChangedSystem requirements
GPRaw now runs on macOS 15 Sequoia and later. If your Mac couldn't install GPRaw 1.28, you can install this version.
ChangedExport reports
The Copy Report button on a failed video export's alert now puts the report on the clipboard instead of saving it as a file, so you can paste it straight into your message to us.
NewRelease notes
You can now see what changed in recent versions at gpraw.com/release-notes, which our support page links to. When the update sheet from Help > Check for Updates has no notes to show, it links to that page instead. The update sheet is in the App Store version only.
This release also includes improvements to how we test and ship each update.
GPRaw 1.28
NewBursts and timelapses
You can now open many GPR files in one window, sorted into photos, bursts, and timelapses, each with its own edits. Export All Photos saves every photo and burst frame at once.
NewTimelapse keyframes
You can now key Light, Color, and Details on chosen frames of a timelapse, and the frames between them follow a smooth ramp. Press K to add a keyframe on the frame on screen.
NewHistogram
The edit panel now opens with a histogram, with ISO, focal length, aperture, and shutter under it. Press J to show clipping on the photo, red where the camera clipped and amber where the picture is only at white.
ChangedFree mode and Open Recent
The free version exports at Quarter Size. File > Open Recent is gone, so GPRaw no longer marks your original photos as downloaded, which could make macOS warn when you opened one. GPRaw still runs on macOS 15 Sequoia.
This release also includes bug fixes and performance improvements.
GPRaw 1.27
NewEditing and basic export in Free mode
You can now edit photos and make a basic export without unlocking GPRaw. Free mode exports 8-bit images at Half or Quarter Size, and movies at Half or Quarter Size in H.264 or HEVC. Every other export option, such as DNG, Full Size, and 4K, is marked as full version only in the export dialogs.
NewClick to zoom
You can now click the photo to zoom to 100%, and click again to go back to fit. Hold the click to peek, or Shift-click the zoomed photo to fill the window. View > Click Zooms To also offers 200% and 400%, and Space toggles the zoom. Zoom to Fit is now Command-Z instead of Command-9.
NewKeyboard shortcuts in the editor
You can now rotate, flip, crop, run Auto Adjust, and move the dials from the keyboard. Most commands are in the new Photo menu, and Help > Keyboard Shortcuts lists every key.
ImprovedConnect GoPro
Connect GoPro now recognizes the MISSION 1 PRO on the cable. It lists the card as soon as you click Allow, and the preview shows each photo as it's imported.
This release also includes bug fixes and performance improvements.
